We have seen flare jeans make a huge comeback, so what is going to be next on the list? Personally, I am 100% feeling bell sleeves… head-turning and wearable.

When I found this top online, I purchased it right away. The sleeves bring a hint of drama and a fresh look to an all black and white outfit with contrast trim accents and large ruffles. The off of the shoulder neckline and wide leg black trousers add a sexy edge to this polished look. I think is it important not to go over-board with a piece like this. Red Threads

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Well, it's back to a few days of chilly weather but luckily these photos were shot last week when it was much nicer and it's looking like it's going to change back soon, so yay for that because I am not in any hurry to go out and leave my comfy bed. I think I would rather just pull the covers up and hang right here for the day.

Today’s outfit screams summer with these wide leg wrap pants. I love how they move when the wind blows and the side slits allow for a little leg to show when you are walking, just a fun to wear summer pant. If this print may look a little familiar it is probably because it is very similar to the long pink maxi dress I wore a few weeks back (also shoppable below) Today I added a crop top with charming ties at the hem and a pair of wedges for a look that makes you feel like you belong at the ocean. Your 70s style inspo starts with a jumpsuit…and ends somewhere between patchwork embellishments and vintage finds. The appliques on this pair of dungarees are lighthearted and they add a special touch. I tied a vintage Celine scarf around my neck and added white low top converse for a pieced together look and timeless appeal.

I am headed to Aruba next week and I definitely can see myself traveling in this number (or one of my many other vacation finds) because 1. it is comfortable and 2. most importantly… very cute.

Hey Everyone!!

I finally shot a bunch of new looks on Friday and I cannot wait to share them all with you! I gave today’s white look a modern twist with a black leather choker and my new favorite belt from B-Low the belt(a current must have!)

For accessories I added my calf-hair booties and my new yellow mini croc bag from Henri Bendel. I am loving the unexpected pop of yellow mixed with the spotted print…so fierce!  This bag also comes with an optional crossbody strap so it is perfect for busy summer days running around the city. Good afternoon everyone!!! I hope everyone’s holiday was amazing! I feel like it has been years since I have posted a new look on the blog soo lets get to it!

These black jeans detailed in ruffles from the knee to the floor are probably one of the coolest sample sale finds ever. The ruffles are so chic and girly. Pieces like this are my favorite because they are so unique and it is difficult to find similar items. On top I went with a sleek jacket with a soft leopard-printed for a polished look. The jacket is now a sale…I would say a must to purchase!! I paired my Stuart Weitzman black calf-hair booties to finish off this outfit. Shop this look and similar items below:

Good morning and happy hump day everyone!!

The weather has been so hot and cold lately…literally. I am soo not ready to take out all of my heavy winter coats, but this knit fall outfit makes the transitioning just a little easier. I decided to pair these metal detailed leggings with the matching zip-up cardigan for a retro/chic look. Some people may gravitate to the skirt instead, which is also listed below.

When I first saw these Miu Miu booties in the store…it was love at first sight. Patent leather shoes are so chic and these belt-like fastenings are just beyond. Not to mention…the pointy-toe and chunky heel reflect the themes of the FW15 runway show. They are not available online, but I have picked out some similar favorites.

Happy wrap-vest Wednesday!!

Vests offer a cozy and warm layering look for fall and winter. This wool one by Joie has a contrast black and striped border that can be fastened closed with a thin leather belt. Vests always look great with jeans or leggings, and a pair of boots. Today I went with a legging-like pant from J.Crew, and over-the-knee boots. You can expect to see me in a lot of TopShop this fall. I have been finding the pieces to be the perfect mix between the catwalk and the street. Today’s entire ensemble is indeed- TopShop.

I paired this cropped retro sweater with ivory trousers. There are a lot of details in these pieces that just seem to work even though they are different styles. From the black tassels on the sweater, button details on the pant pockets, and even the wrap-around tie fastening on the shoes…there is definitely some fall magic happening here.

Side note: These shoes were a favorite of mine last season and I could not be happier to see them yet again this year in suede and all different colors!! Shop this look and similar below!

With summer coming to end, there are some really great deals out there.  Starting with Intermix, now 50% off sale, check it out.  I was able to get these great sandals for only $64.00. I found this J.O.A. Varsity mesh sweater at Urban Outfitters and these adorable print trousers were from Zara. Putting this outfit together was so easy...I just added a tank from Banana Republic and jewelry by Chan Luu and Alexis Bittar. Hair up in a pony and my new monster bag for a touch of fun. I found this outfit to be perfect for a day when I'm running errands. Casual, fun and comfortable...unfortunately these items are already gone but I have found similar items I have listed below to make it easy.  I also thought you might like a couple recommendations which are favorites of mine just in case you might be thinking of a warm weather get away as the seasons begin to change. Selections go quickly so get them while you can...

Let’s hear it for wide-leg trousers!! I picked up this pair at an Alice and Olivia sample sale a few months ago in the city.

There is a certain swagger to the large amounts of fabric…and endless styling options. This orange pair sits very high on the waist and since I am not the biggest fan of crop tops I went with a loose tank and rolled it under. The glitter on the top adds enough adornment so I decided no necklace. By keeping the top half simple and high wedges on on bottom makes this look very easy-to-wear.

I feel like it has been forever since I have posted, but guess what…IM BACK!! I hope everyone has been enjoying these beautiful summer days. I cannot believe it is almost the middle of August already…the summer is flying by.

Thanks to Coach I get to enjoy the rest of my summer in style with my new blue aviators and metallic Mini Rhyder bag. I added my new accessories to a beachy and laidback look. I stayed pretty neutral with colors today and let the shimmer of the metallic pebble leather do all of the talking. I also attached a mixed-metal star key ring to my new bag because it adds a playful touch. This bag can be hand-carried or worn with the long strap (which I prefer). I have been investing in more bags that are crossbody style because they are so much easier in the middle of the hustle and bustle of New York City.

Orange Tones

Happy Thursday to all my friends…the holiday weekend is almost here and I hope everyone has a great one.  It has a tendency to rain every memorial weekend, so with any luck the weather will hold out.  I am wearing these high-waisted trousers from Zara today with a simple striped sleeveless top and I have this beautiful tote from Reed Krakoff that has a pretty blue lining so my denim Louboutins are again, perfect as the top also has a blue stripe in it.  The outfit is what I call casual chic…and I would be comfortable wearing it just about anywhere. I could also add the little jacket from yesterdays post with this if I needed a little warmth or wanted to dress it up a bit. I think I will go out and purchase a couple more of them because they are so great for that added something…

Stacey Bendet’s Alice & Olivia has been one of my favorite lines for quite a few years now. Her pieces just seem to always fit me well and they are utterly adorable. These floral jeans and sea foam colored top were a sample sale find my mom picked up for me in New York City last year. I paired the printed pants with my newest denim pumps from Christian Louboutin. At first I was unsure about the white accent heel, but then realized it can be very eye-catching for spring & summer ensembles.

Stripes for spring!!  These modern striped pants from Ann Taylor are not exactly bold, but more elegant and chic. They almost have that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look yet remain on the feminine side paired with a coral sweater. Not only am I loving this color for spring, but this knit is such a great mix and match piece. This conservative style is given a little more ‘life’ with a conversational large pouch…Me+MyBag=The Perfect Couple!!

Springing fashionably forward today with Current Elliot, Rag & Bone, and Joie. I recently stopped into Circles, a local boutique and spied this outfit on the mannequin, and knew right away I had to have it…found out one of my favorite girls styled it…Kudos Alex!! They pulled the entire outfit for me, I tried it on, and then added this floppy brim fedora. I am in love with the fit of these cropped pants especially since I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit me well. The tee I am sporting actually is a muscle tank with an open back…going to be so cool for the summer. The Current Elliot denim jacket is oversized and boxy and I imagine I will be pairing this with a lot. Easiest outfit I have ever purchased!! 

I Don't Speak Italian

I am finishing up with my winter wardrobe and looking forward to starting my spring shopping. This is such a difficult time of year because we are still getting snow and as much as I want to start wearing lighter weight fabrics the weather does not want to cooperate!! We are off to a bright and sunny start to the day but we are still cold enough for snow here in New York. So for now, coats and sweaters are still in and those lightweight prints are on the back burner. Today I paired these checkered skinny jeans with my oversized white Moschino tee, which gives the outfit a lighter feel and added a leather paneled cardigan from J.Crew along with a black coat and my Miu Miu booties…I hope to be out of the winter mode soon.

A sweatshirt acceptable to wear out?!? Yes Please! This pink sand colored sweatshirt is a dream come true...Loose and comfy enough to dress down, yet the sequins make it lavish enough to dress up. And since chambray moves effortlessly from low-key to fancy…why not pair the two?! I added a cream color skinny jean and my newest pair of Christian Louboutin pumps for a neutral mix. The t-strap heels are finished with a fishnet pointed toe and leather heel, creating the perfect silhouette.

Showing my stripes in this tee-shirt alternative sweater. This is a great top either to wear by itself or to use as a layering piece. Being that the sleeves are a little longer and the fabric is hefty and warm, I have chosen to wear it by itself today with a pair of leggings and over-the-knee boots. This outfit can be worn straight through the day and into the evening.

During cold winter months it can be so hard sometimes to bundle up to stay warm, yet still look fashionable. Winter accessories can easily look overwhelming, so I think it is important to invest in the right kind, even though they may be pricey. For example,  today I am wearing a long down puffer coat that is designed to insulate heat and manages not to look like a human sleeping bag. I paired it with leggings, and a cashmere sweater that is a good investment for layering, looking stylish, and staying warm. You lose the most heat through your head so it is definitely important to find a cute hat. I love this tweed Eugenia Kim hat that is perfect for both city streets and rural roads.
