These definitely are not your typical jeans. From the always-elevated Isabel Marant Etoile, they are cut in an ultra high-rise silhouette, and I mean high. We’re talking above the belly-button. I had to get them altered. Twice. But well worth it in my book. I think they are a super cool pair that can be styled year-round and will also tuck perfectly into boots in the fall/ winter. The utilitarian-inspired jeans are tapered with a straight-leg and paneled construction. Wear them with an oversized blazer or a formfitting top that can be tucked in to showcase the details (or both).
I’ve had this specific top for years. It’s one of those random pieces that somehow made it through multiple closet clean-outs, and I’m so glad it did. I L O V E a good mock-neck. It always looks clean and chic. This style in particular is a combination of a mock-neck, strapless, modern choker neckline(?!?) However you describe it, it still feels minimalist yet eye-catching. Not to mention, I’ve been seeing the style everywhere lately.
