When it comes to vintage, the only thing better than sorting through piles & piles of clothes to find the ultimate prize is when you find it right in your own mothers (or even fathers) closet! This trench was my moms and one of the few awesome pieces she managed to keep around that I am able to wear. There is a fantastic feeling of having an item that is rare and treasured in one’s closet, but there is something even more special when that item has been worn and loved by a family member.
Decorated with artwork depicting horses, cacti, stars, and “Howdy Gals”, this piece in particular was definitely inspired by classic western styles. I added my absolute favorite and easy-to-layer Wolford bodysuit, a pair of vintage leather pants, and my Louis Vuitton matador boots which are an update on the classic cowboy boot. Yeehaw!
