Lockdown has changed almost everything-including the way we dress. We’re months into social distancing and this new way of life has become a reality in both our lives and our wardrobes. Comfort-focused style has become the priority when getting dressed, but that doesn’t mean the end of people wanting to look nice and put together. It simply means people are looking to brands that are making versatile clothing that is as comfortable as it is chic.
Recently, my go-to has been Free People. I hadn’t shopped the brand for quite some time, and now cannot manage to stay off of the site. It’s been added to my daily new arrivals check list because everything goes SO fast. Most of the pieces I have been drawn too have a super relaxed fit and have the versatility to work whether you’re staying in or strolling the street [ sofa-to-street ]
The ocean avenue pull on is one of those pieces. The effortless and oversized silhouette makes for the perfect throw-on-and-go dress, but I also see this being the ultimate layering piece for when the weather cools. I can picture it styled with anything from nautical stripes and combat boots to structured military blazers. Either way, it is a closet essential for staying comfortable and stylish.
