While I'm not feeling the greatest these last few days suffering with allergies that almost always turn into sinus problems, I'm forcing myself to keep on trucking. A little slower but non the less. I have been wanting a pair of these Stella McCartney shoes for a while now and usually by the time I'm ready to pull the trigger they are already sold out. This time I was all over them and I'm obsessed with them. They run about a half size big so beware if you should decide to get them. There are so many ways I want to wear them, I think they look good with just about everything. Today I paired them with these white jeans and a striped tee and then added a belt to pull the color from the shoes. I love to mix color and pattern to add that little spark to an outfit.

While not looking forward to fall, I wanted to start giving you all a little insight to what I have been seeing. I will be updating you from time to time now about what is popular for the upcoming season. I am seeing a lot of velvet, jacquard and leather, patchwork, large floral prints and right up my alley, Sooo many ruffles. The shoes are gorgeous... and everything is so rich looking. I feel like we are headed back to a time of ladylike elegance. Some of my favorite things this year are the Gucci kangaroo jacquard loafers, wide belts and I am loving the hand held bags of yesteryear. They started showing up this summer and are on my list for fall. I have started my pre-fall additions so be sure to check them out.

Shoulder Exposer

Damn Daniel….back at it again with the white vans…….(but seriously)

I have been wearing the classic slip-on with just about everything this summer. From shorts, dresses, and maxi skirts as you saw on the blog yesterday.

On hot days like today it is easiest to wake up and throw on a mini dress. As I’m sure you know off-of-the shoulder pieces are everywhere these days and a summer must-have.

If I was to pick out all of my favorite off of the shoulder dresses this season you would be scrolling for hours. I decided to stick to similar tones and easy day-to-day styles.

When I was shooting looks the ice cream man drove by and I had this brilliant idea that I needed to get something and use it in my photos. If you are wondering why I am barely smiling…..it is because out of all of the options I chose the blue and green sour popsicle and it completely turned my mouth colors…..so safe to say I will not be doing that again. Thank god it was one of my last looks.

Today I am mixing on trend pieces in an unexpected way. I purchased this skirt from Asos at the beginning of the summer with the feeling it was going to sell out (it did) …everything always goes super fast on that site. It is very unique with tiered ruffles and frayed hems.

I am usually such a ‘heel’ girl over flats but I have been trying to shoot more looks where I dress down apparel and make it more practical to wear during the day. With that being said, I decided to pair today’s main piece with a lightweight sleeveless knit, fedora, and classic slip-on sneakers. The allover stripes print gives the look character…making it a little polished yet also a little undone.

Below, find the links to today’s outfit. I have also incorporated similar items, cute summer tanks, and adorable alternative sneaker options that can be paired with a white skirt like this one. All items can be mixed and matched! (I am really loving the metallic sneaker and crotchet crop top combo)

TGIFFFFF!!

When I was shooting this look I couldn’t stop laughing and singing “workin at the car washhhh”

…Dino then said we should shoot at a car wash and that he would make it really cool…I ended the convo right there (even though I’m sure he would) Guys with their ideas…

Anyway, I have wanted a pair of these Stella McCartney platforms since they came out. They are a serious splurge, but I finally went for it. I think a majority of people have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. For guys, mostly just hate. When mine finally came and my dad first saw them his first response was “what are those…….?”

Personally, I just love them and that’s all that matters to me! They are a mix of trendy and classic, and have height and traction. I originally thought I wanted a black pair with a black bottom, but I thought the burgundy would look so good in the fall. I have them pictured in my head with boyfriend jeans and oversized sweaters.

Today I paired them with a denim utility romper unbuttoned with a striped tee…effortless, cool, and comfortable…with just a hint of disco.

Reach for your platforms this weekend and dance your troubles away!!

Lightweight sweaters are the best for chilly nights and cool mornings in the summer. The fringe hem on this knit makes it perfect for layering other pieces and also gives it a little boho twist. My two major accessories today are a chiffon necktie (which can be worn multiple ways) and a beaded tassel necklace. They add a semi vintage-inspired statement to this textured sweater. Round sunnies, and pink, green, and neutral tones add just enough color to make outfit boho-chic. Shop today’s look and similar pieces below. Have a great day everyone! Thanks for stopping by today!

Tassel Dress

Finally, next month I will be back in Long Beach Island and I cannot wait…and today’s little number is definitely coming with me. When I go to the shore all of my outfits are usually easy breezy, and by that I mean…denim shorts, little dresses, and pretty much anything that equals no fuss!

This LWD has a bit of boho vibe from the tassel accents at the hem. I decided to elevate todays look with a silk floral scarf and straw boater hat to add a few extra summer details. I have seen adorable tassel pieces all over the internet and not just on clothing…on hats, clutches, and even shoes. Below, I have linked white dresses with tassels at all price ranges. Have a great week everyone.

TGIF

I cannot explain to you how much I love this set (and pretty much any cute set for that matter) They are just the best for summer and make it way too easy to get dressed. I purchased this one from Revolve, and they have soo many other adorable options as well. Many of the pieces I end up buying are flirty, effortless, and have numerous styling options.

The sleek stripes and tiered layers set me up to buy this one (pun intended). I immediately fall for anything girly. I don’t know what it is with me and ruffles these days, but I cannot stop (even though they can be such a pain to iron). This is by the brand Privacy Please. They are a vintage-inspired label with the cutest pieces. Check some of them out below. I hope everyone has an amazing weekend.

Hi everyone!!

Today’s look is casual and cool. What I love about this ribbed long skirt is that is can be dressed up or down. However, when I first saw it I imagined it styled very laidback with an oversized tee. I ended up liking it with this knotted tank I have and simple white birkenstocks, which epitomize casual comfort.

I added this bandana like choker with paisley print, which unexpectedly looks awesome with the fringe finishing on the skirt…occupying the spotlight. Below, shop this look and similar items at a very low price. Thanks for stopping by today!

We have seen flare jeans make a huge comeback, so what is going to be next on the list? Personally, I am 100% feeling bell sleeves… head-turning and wearable.

When I found this top online, I purchased it right away. The sleeves bring a hint of drama and a fresh look to an all black and white outfit with contrast trim accents and large ruffles. The off of the shoulder neckline and wide leg black trousers add a sexy edge to this polished look. I think is it important not to go over-board with a piece like this. Below, find this look and similar bell sleeve tops. Thanks for stopping by today!!

The Finishing Touch

It is always the finishing touches that make an outfit complete and one of a kind. I love a good white dress in the summer, and this one happens to be simple and chic with a back cut-out detail. With little white dresses you always have a variety of styling options so it really is up to you what you are in the mood for. You can stay all white, add black pieces for a nice black and white look or you can add statement pieces for a bold look.

Today I decided on showcasing my favorite pink patent leather and glittered pumps. They are vibrant, girly, and ohh so fun!! I added this straw shoulder bag for a final touch of pink. Shop this look below:

Earn Your Stripes

Happy fourth of July everyone!!

I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend and time off of work to relax and spend time with friends and family. I know a lot of people go away for the weekend either to the beach or lake….I am home by the pool this year and I plan on laying out for the rest of the day!!

Today I am “earning my stripes”(how convenient for the holiday?!) in this adorable tee dress with a ruffled hem. Ruffles always add a touch of femininity to anything and I think that is why I am always drawn to pieces detailed with them. Many of the pieces from this brand actually have them, while also being relaxed yet refined and fashion-forward. You can shop this look and other similar pieces below. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have an amazing day!!

Rain Check?

Rainy days are here (unfortunately) but that should never prevent you from looking your best! One accessory to make sure you have this time of year is definitely a cute umbrella. There are so many adorable options and they aren’t your average accessory you need to splurge on. You can find them at so many different stores at a low price. I personally recommend to check out Kate Spade…they are under $40 and so fun!!

I have been searching everywhere for a pair of cute white short overalls…something I thought that would be super easy…but it wasn’t. I finally found a pair at Madewell that weren’t too distressed and not too long. I decided to pair them with a striped tee, a hooded coat, and rain boots (another necessity). You can always stay cute no matter what the weather decides to throw at you! Shop today’s look below:

Subdued Stripes

If you happen to be a girl on a strict budget then this outfit is the one for you. I have spoken about this before, you do not always have to have the most expensive items in your wardrobe to be stylish. Mixing high end together with less expensive things is done all the time by smart shoppers and no one will ever be the wiser. Just look for things that are made well and have great fabric. Believe it or not, this skirt was only $20.00 and it is the cutest!!! I found it at forever 21 one day when I was just shopping around looking for a few things. perfect for the office or on a day when you just need to run around getting things accomplished. During the summer I will very often wear dresses or skirts during the day because they are easy and lady like. I paired it with another inexpensive top from H&M. The wedges are Paul Andrew, the purse, j.crew, a bit more expensive but adds just the right touch, picking up the same neutral tone of the top and the stripe in the skirt. This is a smart looking outfit, very affordable and one would never guess what I paid for it. Don't be afraid to mix it up, you just might surprise yourself.

Happy humpday everyone,

The sun is shining and we are in for another great day today, so I thought I would wear these shorts from last year with a great top from intermix that I fell in love with. (It is another item on sale right now). So Crisp and clean looking, yet the ruffles add a little flirty fun and paired with the polka dot in the shorts with the scalloped edge, what's left to say? I wanted to add a little sophistication so I decided on heels rather than a flat sandal to pump up my look. While they do not have this particular pattern this year, they are still available in a wide variety of colors. Just a bit of cuteness when you want shorts but also want to dress your outfit up a little. The fabric is great and so is the fit. Check out the links below, thanks for stopping by and have the best day...

Red Threads

Happy Tuesday everyone,

I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Just a red belt, my purse, a little jewelry and the look is complete. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by. Shop today's look below:

Denim Days

Dino Petrocelli Photography

Happy Hump Day People!!!!

One of my favorite things about warmer weather is being able to throw on a simple dress with a pair of slides and be comfortable and casual for the day. I found this dress, which is actually a long shirt at H&M for under $30. It is classic chambray with chest pockets and long sleeves that I decided to roll up.

I had been eyeing the Acne Studios leather slip-ons since they first came out, until I read about Georgina Goodman ‘slippers’ in the June issue of Vogue. They are half the price and have a bunch of different designs ranging from paint splashes, to stripes, and metallic colors. They are chic yet easy-going and can add a stylish flair to your look. You can put the backs up and wear them as a shoe as well. Shop today’s look below:

Pink Jacquard

Happy Tuesday everyone!!

I am all pink today (my favorite color!!) This is another outfit I purchased from the crazy sale happening at Intermix. Both this sweater and these shorts are now marked under $100.

This sweater is a pretty pink rib crew neck that can be worn all year and layered into any look and I paired it today with these tailored jacquard shorts. I love the charm and subtle beauty of the pattern because it is so glamorous and does not need any further embellishment (unless you want to add it of course). I have been seeing very similar pieces out for the fall and a ton of heavy and luxurious fabrics combined into both clothing and accessories. This is definitely a trend to look for. This outfit is linked below, along with other jacquard shorts and skirts with matching sweaters and pumps. Thanks for stopping by.

Ready,Set…

Ready, Set…..Monday.

When it comes to spring and summer trends, nothing makes our days easier than the coordinating set.  Matchy-matchy=no fuss and the good news is there are endless combinations to mix and match the separates.  Since the top and bottom are taken care of, it is fun to focus more on adding clashing combos with shoes and accessories.

Today’s skirt is by J.O.A. I bought it at a local boutique, and unfortunately cannot find it anywhere on the Internet. I have tried everything possible!! I am so disappointed!! The set is a light periwinkle blue with white pinstripes and I paired it with these strappy sandals with a colorful mix of gingham print…such a statement shoe.

I went on some of my favorite shopping sites and picked out my top choice sets below. I tried to only link outfits where both the top and the bottom were available in a variety of sizes (so you can buy both pieces obviously)

So…ready,set…..SHOP (it will make your Monday go by faster)

Rock and Roll Gal

_AM20468.jpg

Serious Rock&Roll vibes this Friday….I mean why not IT IS the weekend!! Black and white stripes, a knotted tee, fedora, a skinny scarf with lips and paisley print, and of course statement sunnies=all of your rock fashion trends (minus the mohawk and ripped denim vest) combined into 1 chic outfit.

Remember that sale at Intermix I mentioned last week? That’s where I found this pair of striped Rag&Bone jeans for under $100…it seems as though they are sold out now so I linked a few other sites below (also pretty low in stock too) I have been obsessing over skinny scarves lately especially all of the ones from Rockins. You can wear them a ton of different ways and they add that free-spirited edge to your outfit. Shop this look below. Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!

Jeanius

Hi Everyone!!

It's almost the weekend again, I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. Unfortunately, I spent most of it working but that's ok, it's for the future., other than that I spent what was left with family and friends. I'm looking forward to getting back down to the shore and plans are in the making. We have been going as a family to Long Beach Island, New Jersey since I was a child. LBI is just so beautiful, relaxing and a place we can all get together and just hang out in a pair of shorts and a tee, go for a bike ride, happy hour or to the beach…I cannot wait.

Today's outfit is a combination of old and new. I have on a white tee that I paired with a blush vest and leather wrap necklace I borrowed from my mom. I love the vibe of these three pieces together…very cool yet still chic. I finally got my hands on a pair of cropped flare jeans. I found this pair at H&M. I love the raw hem (and the price makes them even better). This style pant looks great with tailored pieces and block heels for an off-duty denim style. Pure Jeanius.
