Three words: One And Done.

The go to one piece is style simplified…no mixing or matching necessary. Slip into a striking jumpsuit then step out. My favorite part about wearing any style onsie is that it makes getting ready so much easier. You never have to run around searching for the perfect top or bottom. You pick out your shoes, add some jewls, and bam! You are done. You can grab your bag and out the door you go.

The romper I have on today is by Alexis. The entire line is so stunning. It has a lot going on in all the right ways as it comprises both ruffles and lace (my favorite.) Feathers always add femininity, glam, and of course movement to any look. Today they prove sweaters can be special too. Instead of pairing your jeans and pumps with your average sweater, sometimes it is fun to find different pieces that add that unique touch. This cashmere shell from J.Crew does just that…detailed with playful feathers at the bottom. I decided to wear a blouse underneath for a finishing touch and more relaxed look. Shop this look below:

Offbeat Chic

First and foremost thank you SO much to everyone who attended my first event at Rebecca Minkoff!! I was beyond happy with the turnout and I am so grateful for the opportunity. I loved meeting and chatting with some of my followers and it is so amazing to see the huge impact social media has today…connecting people from all over with similar interests. I cannot imagine life without it (I am a serious Instagram addict)

I told everyone I would put all of my outfit details from my event the other night on the blog. I usually do not do outfit posts on the weekend…but why wait?! This is the Judith dress from Minkoff of course (one of my current fav’s…but then again so is everything in the store) I love the shoulder cut-outs and the flowy texture. It is just perfect. I decided to pair it with booties instead of heels because 1. I knew I was going to be on my feet for a while and 2. They add a hint of realness to this angel-like dress.

PLEATS PLEASE!!

Today I am pairing a light and flowy top with jeans, pumps, and a leather jacket for a casual street look. The yellow top gets its delicate feel from row upon row of pleats. It is still a little chilly out these days...hence the leather jacket (which also offers an edgy vibe)

The yellow and blue tones in today’s outfit just so happen to match my new bag from Henri Bendel perfectly!! This style is the West 57th Satchel in Black Multi and it will be available VERY SOON!! It is one of my favorites because it is so striking!! Stayed tuned for additional posts because I will be sure to keep everyone in the loop when it is available.

This look is one that is easy very to mimic. Mostly everyone owns a leather jacket (it is a closet staple must) All you have to do is find a pleated top and add a pair of pumps…even sandals. Shop my look below:

Springy and casual for a beautiful Wednesday afternoon!! I paired a classic silhouette pinstripe button up with white jeans…and check out these awesome espadrilles!! Happy Monday Everyone!!

Today I decided to share one of my favorite skirts!! It is a little older now but I am still as in love with it as I was the day I bought it. I love mini skirts…especially ruffled and layered ones for spring and summer. They are stylish, youthful, and have so many styling options.

This one from Alice & Olivia I actually wore on my 22nd birthday. Black floral appliqués dress up the scalloped tiers of the party-ready skirt. It may remind you a little bit of an older post I did Heart of Gold (another favorite of mine).

Hello everyone,

Well, as you have seen on my Instagram, I just got back from Aruba and I had the most amazing and relaxing time. Every year I take two or three vacations with my family and we have been there several times because the Island has the best food, nicest people and pretty much guaranteed great weather. Two years ago we stayed at the brand new Ritz Carlton, which we loved but it is very quiet so this year we decided to go back to the Marriott Stellaris where there is much more activity. The grounds are beautiful and the sun was sizzling, so much so that we had to spend a little less time than usual on the beach. You are right at the equator so you can just imagine how great the weather really is. I cannot say enough about the food and we have several restaurants we frequent, never being disappointed.

We kept it a little more low key than usual this year not fussing as much for dinner, more sandals less on the heels, hair and makeup, which was kind of nice but doesn't always make for the best pics so I will restyle and repost some of my outfits when weather permits. In the meantime I'm back in the Northeast and back on the blog.

I wish I had this maxi dress while in Aruba…it just screams for clear blue water and pink sand. It has that princess feel to it with the flowy bottom. I paired it with pink pumps, and a light blue Edie Parker clutch for a little more color. I hope you like it as much as I do! You can get this look below.

If you follow me on Snapchat (laurrecc) then you may have seen me wearing this dress in Aruba trying to get “the shot”….I ended up not getting the best ‘shot’ of my outfit (I blame it on you Catherine!!!)  JK. Anyway, this dress is one of my favorites so I had to make sure I posted it on the blog.

I love the embroidered stars throughout and the ruffled detail at the bottom. Lately I have been so drawn to ruffles and pleats for the spring and summer. They are so feminine and fun. Everything is all about the ‘kicks’ these days. It makes sense for the girl always on the run…they are practical and most of all comfortable…and you can pair them with pretty much anything. My kicks today have mesh side panels making them that much cooler!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

I do not know about you, but I definitely have found love in this graphic oversized tee designed by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.  What really interests me is that Tisci gets a majority of his inspiration from the streets and the diverse culture of America. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology….I spent four years studying different ideologies of society and the deeper meanings behind both human relationships and institutions.  I thought of sociology after I watched a brief video I found on the internet (that you can watch here) Tisci takes his personal thoughts and experiences and dives into his creative work. You may see repetitive symbols such as stars, Bambi, basketball, rottweiler’s, and even sayings such as the one on today’s tee “I Feel Love”…and they all hold meanings.

It only makes sense that I went with a very distressed and streetstyle look with denim, black booties, and a black leather choker. These Fendi bug Chelsea boots are my latest shoe purchase and I just am TOO obsessed!! Anyway…you can get this look and similar by shopping below:

Your 70s style inspo starts with a jumpsuit…and ends somewhere between patchwork embellishments and vintage finds. The appliques on this pair of dungarees are lighthearted and they add a special touch. I tied a vintage Celine scarf around my neck and added white low top converse for a pieced together look and timeless appeal.

I am headed to Aruba next week and I definitely can see myself traveling in this number (or one of my many other vacation finds) because 1. it is comfortable and 2. most importantly… very cute.

Today’s look reminds me of the salsa dancer emoji (in a good way). It is ruched to perfection and the red floral print is TOO good for spring!! This dress can be easily taken day to night with a change of shoes.

This orange cotton sweater is the perfect now-and-later- layer. With the weather so up and down lately, getting dressed in the morning can be pretty confusing. With that being said, today I added an optional blazer and a simple pair of jeans. What I am really loving is this vibrant statement cuff found on sale at J.Crew for around $8 (so crazy). Hey Everyone!!

I finally shot a bunch of new looks on Friday and I cannot wait to share them all with you! I gave today’s white look a modern twist with a black leather choker and my new favorite belt from B-Low the belt(a current must have!)

If you are ever looking for a great pair of wide-leg pants…check out Alice & Olivia. I now have a pair of these trousers in white, black, and orange. They are great and I love the fluid movement of them. 

For accessories I added my calf-hair booties and my new yellow mini croc bag from Henri Bendel. I am loving the unexpected pop of yellow mixed with the spotted print…so fierce!  This bag also comes with an optional crossbody strap so it is perfect for busy summer days running around the city. I have officially checked out of New York Fashion Week and checked into my new shawl-like coat that I do not plan on taking off anytime soon. The earth tone colored plaid is neutral therefore very wearable and the belt at the waist is removable also giving this coat some versatility. Yesterday I got lucky enough to shoot a bunch of great new looks before the cold weather struck again (hence today’s mini skirt). A floral print helps to brighten up our current stuck in winter minds…so why not. I paired this mini with a classic black turtleneck and oversized blue wool-blend coat. It has a wrap-like silhouette and belt, which cinches in the waist for a cozy feel.

A cheerful Edie Parker Yes clutch also brings a more springy vibe to this look. This one is no longer available, but I picked out a few other favorites of mine below. I am a little late to the game with my knee-high boots, but I got the best deal on this pair, which I am obsessed with…so you can expect to see them a lot in the next week (oops!!) I recently purchased this faux fur coat from Edun and what a great purchase it was. The coat retailed for $2,000 and I was lucky enough to nab it for a mere $399. What a steal and boy is it warm on these cold and windy days. It is one you can wear for an evening of dress or just throw it on with a pair of jeans, which is what I did today.  It has become my new go to for outdoor wear and I love how it looks paired with these calf hair booties.
