Happy Friday everyone!!!

Well I'm off to the city this weekend for some fun time with the girls. I love this camo weekender bag I came across at a local boutique and it's coming with…perfect for an overnight or a couple of days. Today I am wearing a pair of Rag & Bone jeans which work so well with the so Kate Louboutin pumps and I added a great white tee and an orange sweater I bought at J.Crew which picks up the orange in my bag…just a great casual outfit to travel in. I am so excited to collaborate with a great new contemporary brand called New Friends Colony and let me tell you…the pieces are AMAZING! Every garment is hand beaded and detailed with beautiful textures and patterns. From embroidered cami’s, dresses, and even swim suit cover up’s…the collection is the epitome of chic. Inspired by global artisan techniques, New Friends Colony allows us to interpret our own individuality and style. I have never really thought about myself having one particular style, but at this point in time if I HAD to say I would go with classic trendy. I turned this adorable blue and orange beaded shift dress a little trendier by layering both a denim and leather coat. I love shift dresses because they are so easy in the spring and summer to throw on with a pair of sandals during the day or dress up with a heel at night…depending on where you are going. Winter Neutrals

As you can see I am a huge fan of neutral pieces. While digging through my closet I came across these floral print Free People pants (a little bit of a tongue twister) I have had for a while now. They are more of a gray tone finished with a cream colored print. I paired them with a neutral knit and suede booties for a casual look in this awful weather....which hopefully will end ASAP.

Gold Accents

Distressed denim, a blouse, and a sweater make up todays daytime look. I love the way the yellow really makes the calf-hair flats pop. As I have mentioned… I am just easing myself into wearing gold jewelry since I usually gravitate more towards silver pieces. It just so happens that gold accents have worked themselves in, all throughout today’s outfit. From the gold hardware on the handbag and leather jacket, to the delicate necklace finished off with a gold horn pendant and edgy gold zippers on my calf-hair flats, I am slowly but surely giving gold a go.

Skirt: Theory/ Top: Theory/ Boots:Reed Krakoff/ Bag: Balenciaga

Beach weather and vacation cannot come soon enough. It has been so cold this winter…I just cannot wait until it is over. I am doing my best to get a variety of outfits in even though the weather has been horrible. Todays matching skirt and top is made by Theory. Unfortunately I am not able to show you the sleeve on this cropped pullover…it has long dropped sleeves which give the outfit a very relaxed look. Instead of the matching prosecco colored skirt, I chose the black for a little contrast along with black tights and these low gray Reed Krakoff boots which seem to be a crowd pleaser. You could also choose to wear high boots or even a really nice pump to complement this outfit.

Showing my stripes in this tee-shirt alternative sweater. This is a great top either to wear by itself or to use as a layering piece. Being that the sleeves are a little longer and the fabric is hefty and warm, I have chosen to wear it by itself today with a pair of leggings and over-the-knee boots. This outfit can be worn straight through the day and into the evening.

What seems to work for me when I am dressing for the day is to choose in three's. Whether it be texture or pattern then, I like to add a splash of color somewhere in my outfit…it tends to make everything pop out at you. Since I am more of a neutral girl I don't go overboard with a lot of color. You will most often see me in shades of a neutral. When spring and summer come around I get a little more adventurous, but during the winter months I will play more with the textures and patterns in gray, black, cream, etc.

Cardigan: Mason by Michelle Mason /Boots: Sergio Rossi/ Necklace: Chan Luu

Thanks to everyone for being so patient while I was going through my grandfathers illness. I am very happy to say he has pulled through and is finally back home. Being back to work is great even though it is absolutely freezing outside. Today I am wearing my leather leggings with a simple white tee. I wanted to showcase my new Chan Luu necklace that I sooo love. The black tassel against the white makes it show up nicely. I wanted to wear this heavy duster by Mason but it was just a little to cold so, I put on a light weight black day coat underneath it and found it gave my outfit another dimension. And how about these Serigo Rossi over-the-knee boots?! I am OBSESSED. Mixed with my black beanie, the outfit gains a more hipster edge.
