Shorts:Denimocracy (Here in White)| Shirt: Rails| Sandals: Sophia Webster

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and starts the week off on a positive note because we all know... Monday’s can be a little crazy.

Today I am excited to announce my collaboration with Denimocracy and Streddo!! How awesome are these tomboy shorts?! Such a relaxed fit and perfectly distressed. These shorts are made for the days when you want to be casual and comfortable. I paired them with my new short-sleeve buttondown from Rails and knotted it into a crop-style shirt…keeping the relaxed look steady. Banana slides and a leather belt finish off this tomboy chic outfit.

Are you an Instagram user?! Stay tuned this week with @streddo and @denimocracy as they are holding a giveaway for their followers! Don’t miss out! #denimocracystreddogiveaway

When the days get hot and humid but you still have to dress try taking a little breather in something like this off the shoulder easy breezy dress… the blue and white stripes are bold yet very striking.  Keeping it simple I just added a navy shoe and this fun clutch from Lanvin, which gives the outfit a little twist.

Hues of Blue

Happy Friday everyone,

It feels so good to finally be out and about after much family illness. This week I was in New York with my sister and friends and we have been having such a good time. Wednesday we went to a white party at Bagatelle and Thursday we were invited to a launch party for StyleLend in Soho that was hosted in a beautiful penthouse owed by Nouriel Roubini. I had a chance to meet some really nice people and from there we had a great time bouncing around the city.

Now I am on to today's post where I am wearing my favorite white Joe's Jeans and this knit multi-color striped top with contrasting cuffs from T by Alexander Wang (on sale now!!). I am loving the striking look of this top and I added a blue belt that came on an older random dress and it just happened to work perfectly.

Adding a neutral pump and a bag from Reed and all set for a casual day. I'm off running errands today. I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will see you Monday!

Happy Thursday to all my friends…the holiday weekend is almost here and I hope everyone has a great one.  It has a tendency to rain every memorial weekend, so with any luck the weather will hold out.  I am wearing these high-waisted trousers from Zara today with a simple striped sleeveless top and I have this beautiful tote from Reed Krakoff that has a pretty blue lining so my denim Louboutins are again, perfect as the top also has a blue stripe in it.  The outfit is what I call casual chic…and I would be comfortable wearing it just about anywhere. I could also add the little jacket from yesterdays post with this if I needed a little warmth or wanted to dress it up a bit. I think I will go out and purchase a couple more of them because they are so great for that added something…

Tee:JCrew|Jacket:Santa Fe Apparel|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Espadrilles:Tory Burch|Clutch:Lanvin (sold out)

Looking forward to the weekend and relaxing with the warm weather finally arriving…my favorite time of year.  I was in the city yesterday for a busy day and was to attend an event last evening but unfortunately my family has been dealing with the rapid failure of my grandfather so things have been a little up and down for us and I had to return home and was unable to attend. My sincere apologies go out to Kelly and her team. On a more positive note…TGIF! Today is all about styling this lightweight chambray jacket from Santa Fe Apparel. The brand does an amazing job at creating garments for the trend-savvy consumer. I paired it with white denim, an easy striped tee and chic leather espadrilles. I love the woven navy trim on them!! The navy picks up the color from the large clutch, which is so COOL. The multi-colored letters add a touch of fun to the look.

Girl Cave Boutique

I am so thrilled to collaborate with Girl Cave Boutique on today’s blog post!! Not only are there great pieces for affordable prices…but they are also made for the everyday woman. Many of the garments can take you straight from work and into the evening. I am beyond in love with this two-piece pink and light grey color-block set. It is so classy and chic and literally perfect for the spring. Matching sets are the best because you never have to worry what you are going to pair the other piece with!! They provide much more flexibility as each piece can also be worn as a separate! Shop this set and many other adorable pieces at Girl Cave Boutique. Linen & Denim

White jeans are a summer staple for me. There is something so effortless about putting on your go to pair with literally anything from a simple tee or button down to a dressier shirt with a pair of pumps. With this outfit I chose to pair it with one of my favorite linen stripe button downs for summer. This top is still super neutral with a breathable linen material for those easy spring and summer days. I obviously had to add my latest obsession and purchase of these denim Louboutin’s to finish styling this look. These so Kate pumps will literally go with so many pieces I have in my summer wardrobe and I immediately had to bring them out.

Ciao Bella

JCrew: Jacket, Tee, Jeans, Vans (for J.Crew)| Pouch: Banana Republic

This cinched swing jacket is a perfect layering piece for the season. The rubber printed stripes on the sleeves give it a rainy day vibe, however this jacket is great for any tricky weather spring brings with it. Today my Current Elliot oversized denim jacket saves me yet AGAIN underneath for some extra warmth. These slip-on lilac Vans pick up some of the color from the striped linen baseball tee and add a very laidback look.

Nautical-Prep

You may recognize this dress from a recent post, however today it is taking an entire180. The striped dress I had paired with fringe rain boots and knee socks, I am now wearing with a deep V-neck sweater and patent leather pumps. The extra-long white knit just screams spring!! There is something very nautical and preppy about the stripes against the white and that is what inspired todays look. Both pieces can easily be styled on the more casual side, however I went with a pair of pumps instead of a white sneaker for a more elegant look.

Me + My Bag

Pants: Ann Taylor| Sweater: Ann Taylor| Booties: Jimmy Choo| Pouch: Banana Republic

Stripes for spring!!  These modern striped pants from Ann Taylor are not exactly bold, but more elegant and chic. They almost have that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look yet remain on the feminine side paired with a coral sweater. Not only am I loving this color for spring, but this knit is such a great mix and match piece. This conservative style is given a little more ‘life’ with a conversational large pouch…Me+MyBag=The Perfect Couple!!

Another day closer to spring and I couldn’t be happier as you can see…today I am twirling around in this black mini with my fringe flying again…I love mixing patterns and I’m finding you can wear nautical stripes with a lot so, today I paired this black and white striped lightweight turtleneck with a red and black plaid jacket that I’ve had for a bit. The outfit is fun and flirty!!

Seems as though we’re up and down these days weather wise but I am continuing on looking forward to spring. A little sun and a little slush is where we are headed now…so I will just put on my new hunter fringe boots, which I think I can make work with just about anything. That’s how smart they are. The new fringe style adds a touch of boho and I have decided to pair them with this nautical striped dress and let the fringe fly for a bit of a fun look. You have the option of letting it be loose or with the strap around the bottom you can secure it down. I added a pair of over-the-knee socks, a great scarf for some added color and my J.Crew army green jacket…a little unexpected. I am good to go for the day and don’t have to worry about ruining any of my shoes!

Hippie Pants

Going into spring with flare. These pants are the perfect way to jump into warm weather. The colorful stripes and flared leg are this season’s biggest trend. My orange suede so Kate boots are a perfect match and suede is also a very big must this spring…bringing falls favorite fabric to a whole new level. The mesh pullover adds a contrast of texture to this look.

Skirt: Theory/ Top: Theory/ Boots:Reed Krakoff/ Bag: Balenciaga

Beach weather and vacation cannot come soon enough. It has been so cold this winter…I just cannot wait until it is over. I am doing my best to get a variety of outfits in even though the weather has been horrible. Todays matching skirt and top is made by Theory. Unfortunately I am not able to show you the sleeve on this cropped pullover…it has long dropped sleeves which give the outfit a very relaxed look. Instead of the matching prosecco colored skirt, I chose the black for a little contrast along with black tights and these low gray Reed Krakoff boots which seem to be a crowd pleaser. You could also choose to wear high boots or even a really nice pump to complement this outfit.

Sweater: J.Crew/Pants: J.Crew/ Boots: Sergio Rossi/ Clutch: YSL

Showing my stripes in this tee-shirt alternative sweater. This is a great top either to wear by itself or to use as a layering piece. Being that the sleeves are a little longer and the fabric is hefty and warm, I have chosen to wear it by itself today with a pair of leggings and over-the-knee boots. This outfit can be worn straight through the day and into the evening.

What seems to work for me when I am dressing for the day is to choose in three's. Whether it be texture or pattern then, I like to add a splash of color somewhere in my outfit…it tends to make everything pop out at you. Since I am more of a neutral girl I don't go overboard with a lot of color. You will most often see me in shades of a neutral. When spring and summer come around I get a little more adventurous, but during the winter months I will play more with the textures and patterns in gray, black, cream, etc.

Hat: Genie by Eugenia Kim/ J.Crew Blouse, Coat, Sweater, Pants/Boots: Stuart Weitzman /Bag: Givenchy

During cold winter months it can be so hard sometimes to bundle up to stay warm, yet still look fashionable. Winter accessories can easily look overwhelming, so I think it is important to invest in the right kind, even though they may be pricey. For example,  today I am wearing a long down puffer coat that is designed to insulate heat and manages not to look like a human sleeping bag. I paired it with leggings, and a cashmere sweater that is a good investment for layering, looking stylish, and staying warm. You lose the most heat through your head so it is definitely important to find a cute hat. I love this tweed Eugenia Kim hat that is perfect for both city streets and rural roads.
