I’M BACK!!!!

After spending a few hours fixing my site (which is still in the process) I can finally show you one of my new looks!! I called today’s post cowboy cool because this shirt/dress gives off a little bit of a cowboy vibe with the snap cuffs and fold-over collar. I was originally going to wear it as a dress with sneakers, but ended up switching it up…which is one reason this is worth the purchase…two in one!!

Can you believe it is already November 1st?? It is officially holiday season…which means one thing…TIME TO START OUR SHOPPING.  I have added a new shop for the season, which consists of my choices for both outfits and potential gifts. If you have noticed the bottom of my site may look a little bit different today. My currently craving section is in the process of being made into its own shop, which will be added at the top. I hope everyone has a great day!! Thanks for stopping by today. Below, shop today’s look:

XOXO,

A Plaid Habit

Nothing screams falling leaves and crisp weather more than a layer of woodsy warmth. Up your layering game this fall with eye-catching buffalo plaids and the classic check print.  You will find pieces that could literally dress you head to toe…from hats to socks and sneakers.

There is something about the lumberjack resembling material that adds coziness to any outfit.  Today I am staying more on the grungier side and opted for a casual street-wear look pairing my oversized shirt jacket with a pocket tee, felt fedora, and motorboats. You can pair yours with jeans, or go all out with longer lengths and pieces with feminine details.

Happy Hump Day!

We are getting to that point of summer where all pre-fall is hitting stores and the Internet and all summer clothing is going on sale. What I hate the most about this time of year is that one part of me wants to keep buying clothes for this season (especially because I am going away next week) but the other half of me does not. We are almost at boot and coat season… and we know how expensive these purchases can be.

The dress I have on today is an end of summer sale purchase. I think it one piece that will bring me into early fall with its deep colors and longer hemline. Tassel jewelry is kind of a thing right now, so it only makes sense I polished off todays look with a fun and lightweight necklace and light brown frames for a little drama.

Checked In

I have officially checked out of New York Fashion Week and checked into my new shawl-like coat that I do not plan on taking off anytime soon. The earth tone colored plaid is neutral therefore very wearable and the belt at the waist is removable also giving this coat some versatility. I decided to pair it with a black wool skirt (which is now on sale) and my over-the-knee boots. You can shop this look and similar below.

Grown up Grunge

‘Grunge’ is a style that has been around for years. It is about being casual and comfortable, yet there is just something about it that gives your look an edgier vibe. Whether it be layering, an oversized piece, statement tee, plaid shirt, or military boots….something that gives your outfit an effortless and tough blend.

Today I mixed combat boots with baggier black overalls, a green puffer jacket, and scarf around my neck for a subtle grungy street look. You can shop my look below:

Lessons in Layering

Tis’ the season for layering...a look that can keep you warm but also make an outfit more interesting. All you need to do is combine a few basics along with some similar style pieces. My basics today consist of a navy turtleneck and a pair of jeans. I have mixed in a feminine and fitted houndstooth blazer with a buffalo-check vest and oversized scarf.

You have to check out the Sperry collection for J.Crew!! The winter-weather-ready boots are cozy and perfect for the snow. You can shop this look and similar below. Have a great day everyone!! XOXO

Necessary Neutral

Sweater:Zara|Dress:BB Dakota|Hat:Rag&Bone(similar)|Boots:Stuart Weitzman|Bag:Sara Battaglia(similar here)

Many of you may know my Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots are my everyday winter go-to’s…literally worth every penny. However, the newer version with shearling trim may be my new found love. A necessary neutral and very sophisticated.

Today I have on a borrowed-from-the-boys oversized shirtdress layered under an oversized knit with high side slits. I figured I may as well take advantage of the so called “warmer” weather before winter actually hits us. You can shop this look and similar below. Thanks for stopping by!!

Feelin Foxy

Classic buffalo check =a no-brainer. It has such a cold weather feel to it. Today I paired an oversized wool checked scarf with a similar style down vest, which is perfect for layering. The pattern just gives off feelings of warmth.

If you are feelin foxy then this hat is a must!! It is too cute with its face just peaking out over the cuff and detailed with rhinestone eyes, a faux fur pompom on top, and tail in the back. Have a wonderful week everyone. You can shop this look below:

Happy Friday everyone!!

Today’s look is pretty casual and focused around classic black and red plaid. I think the crazy thing about the bold pattern is that it has so many different connotations (preppy, punk, grungy, chic etc.) There is a bit of a combo in this outfit- ranging from distressed jeans to this charming crossbody bag.

What are everyone’s weekend plans?! Do you have any awesome outfits picked out you are dying to wear?? I would love to hear about it! Thanks for stopping by!! Shop today’s look below:

Tokyo is for Lovers

Staying sharp with this amazing charcoal plaid coat from J.O.A. (which is now under $100 I may add!) Today’s look is a casual and everyday outfit featuring jeans and a printed tee with the script “Tokyo is for Lovers”. I went a few sizes up in the top because I preferred it a little oversized.

This look is one everyone can put their own twist on. Whether it be a different tee, a sweater, layering, or accessories…let your style shine! I added a felt Rag and Bone hat for a charming touch and menswear-inspired feel. I wore my favorite Stuart Weitzman 50/50 leather/neoprene boots. For anyone looking for the perfect pair of over-the-knee boots I recommend these. I know they are a little pricey, but trust me they are worth every penny!! Don't Even Care

Monday got me….

Not Even Caring.

I have been finding some really amazing patchwork pieces online recently, especially in denim. Some splurge worthy and others so inexpensive…either way both end up being TOO GOOD to pass up.

Today’s jeans have a vintage look to them, but the plaid patch adds a preppy feel. I love pairing white button-ups under sweaters and sweatshirts so it worked out perfectly! When it came to shoes…I was debating between Adidas sneakers and my gold boots. Although both would work, I love how the gold looks mixed with the yellow in the plaid. I went ahead and picked out some other really cool patchwork jeans and graphic tee’s and sweatshirts. Shop below! And enjoy your week!

Box Pleat Mini

Skirt:Alice & Olivia (Last Seen Here)| Top:Joie|Pumps:Christian Louboutin|Bag:Chloe|Chain: David Yurman

I have had this sky blue leather skirt for so long and could never seem to put together an outfit that satisfied me. However, when I tried it on with my Joie plaid button down I loved the combination of colors. I thought the outfit looked way more chic with the shirt loosely tucked in and unbuttoned at the top. All I kept thinking when I had this on is...I do not want to look like an Easter egg!! I thought my denim pumps prevented this oh so awful situation and added a striking contrast.

Ribbon Bib

Pants:JCrew|Blouse:JCrew|Plaid Top:Joie|Jacket: Current Elliot|Sneakers:Miu Miu

There is something about the ribbon bib on this shirt that makes me fall in love with it. It almost has a baby doll style look when buttoned to the top.  Instead of dressing the ‘tux-like’ shirt up, I paired it with skinny stretch cargo pants, which match perfectly to the color of my Miu Miu crystal sneakers. An oversized trucker denim jacket on top and a plaid button up tied around my waist make for a look that never goes out of style.

Checks & Stripes

Shot by Dino Petrocelli

Another day closer to spring and I couldn’t be happier as you can see…today I am twirling around in this black mini with my fringe flying again…I love mixing patterns and I’m finding you can wear nautical stripes with a lot so, today I paired this black and white striped lightweight turtleneck with a red and black plaid jacket that I’ve had for a bit. The outfit is fun and flirty!!

Sweatshirt: J.Crew/Pants: J.Crew/Pumps: Christian Louboutin

A sweatshirt acceptable to wear out?!? Yes Please! This pink sand colored sweatshirt is a dream come true...Loose and comfy enough to dress down, yet the sequins make it lavish enough to dress up. And since chambray moves effortlessly from low-key to fancy…why not pair the two?! I added a cream color skinny jean and my newest pair of Christian Louboutin pumps for a neutral mix. The t-strap heels are finished with a fishnet pointed toe and leather heel, creating the perfect silhouette.

Coat: Exclusive for Intermix (Sold Out)

Jeans: J.Crew

Boots: Reed Krakoff (Older)

I bought this topcoat exclusive for Intermix in early fall and it really has become one of my go-to staples. It always looks so chic no matter if it is dressed up or down…that's what I love most about it. Today for a casual day time look I paired it with my favorite skinny jeans from J.Crew that I cuffed above my boots and a simple blouse…making for an easy go-to outfit.

 Sweater: Tanya Taylor (Sold Out)

Jeans: Joe's

Boots: Christian Louboutin

Coat: Forever21 (Older)

Different shades of the same color or similar colors almost always look good together. This plaid sweater by Tanya Taylor is not only whimsical and fun but the color combinations are very eye-catching as well. The pink and red in the plaid mixed with the orange boots is very striking and dominant. When mixing colors it is important not to go overboard. To prevent that I added white jeans and a black blazer style coat…when in doubt I add neutrals.
