Pink & Oversized..two of my favorite things.

 As we sneak closer into the chillier weather most of us will be mixing pieces from both our summer and fall wardrobe. From shorts and booties, jeans and short sleeve tee’s, or as in today’s case shorts and an oversized sweatshirt…the combinations are endless…so don’t put away your summer attire just yet.

This high neck sweatshirt is a perfect transitioning piece. I love anything oversized and especially turtlenecks!! I added shorts a floral statement necklace with crystals because hey, it isn’t fall just yet!! Shop this look below:

This sweater is one of my favorite winter purchases. The oversized silhouette gives you so many options for styling and layering…even the possibility of layering it over the perfect dress. Today I decided on a yellow mini skirt and leopard beanie for a hip yet ultimately casual look. You can create this look with pretty much any solid mini and oversized sweater/top. Another day closer to spring and I couldn’t be happier as you can see…today I am twirling around in this black mini with my fringe flying again…I love mixing patterns and I’m finding you can wear nautical stripes with a lot so, today I paired this black and white striped lightweight turtleneck with a red and black plaid jacket that I’ve had for a bit. The outfit is fun and flirty!!

What seems to work for me when I am dressing for the day is to choose in three's. Whether it be texture or pattern then, I like to add a splash of color somewhere in my outfit…it tends to make everything pop out at you. Since I am more of a neutral girl I don't go overboard with a lot of color. You will most often see me in shades of a neutral. When spring and summer come around I get a little more adventurous, but during the winter months I will play more with the textures and patterns in gray, black, cream, etc.

This pinstripe puffer vest is light weight and perfect for layering. I paired it with an oversize stripe turtleneck and distressed boyfriend jeans to create a sportier look. Instead of flats I added a pair of suede Jimmy Choo booties to keep the outfit on the feminine side.
