Happy Hump Day!
We are getting to that point of summer where all pre-fall is hitting stores and the Internet and all summer clothing is going on sale. What I hate the most about this time of year is that one part of me wants to keep buying clothes for this season (especially because I am going away next week) but the other half of me does not. We are almost at boot and coat season… and we know how expensive these purchases can be.
The dress I have on today is an end of summer sale purchase. I think it one piece that will bring me into early fall with its deep colors and longer hemline. Tassel jewelry is kind of a thing right now, so it only makes sense I polished off todays look with a fun and lightweight necklace and light brown frames for a little drama.
Damn Daniel….back at it again with the white vans…….(but seriously)
I have been wearing the classic slip-on with just about everything this summer. From shorts, dresses, and maxi skirts as you saw on the blog yesterday.
On hot days like today it is easiest to wake up and throw on a mini dress. As I’m sure you know off-of-the shoulder pieces are everywhere these days and a summer must-have.
If I was to pick out all of my favorite off of the shoulder dresses this season you would be scrolling for hours. I decided to stick to similar tones and easy day-to-day styles.
When I was shooting looks the ice cream man drove by and I had this brilliant idea that I needed to get something and use it in my photos. If you are wondering why I am barely smiling…..it is because out of all of the options I chose the blue and green sour popsicle and it completely turned my mouth colors…..so safe to say I will not be doing that again. Thank god it was one of my last looks.
We have seen flare jeans make a huge comeback, so what is going to be next on the list? Personally, I am 100% feeling bell sleeves… head-turning and wearable.
When I found this top online, I purchased it right away. The sleeves bring a hint of drama and a fresh look to an all black and white outfit with contrast trim accents and large ruffles. The off of the shoulder neckline and wide leg black trousers add a sexy edge to this polished look. I think is it important not to go over-board with a piece like this. Below, find this look and similar bell sleeve tops. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy Tuesday everyone,
I am loving the look of scarves these days, rather around the neck, as a belt, around a hat or in the hair, they add a certain je ne sais quoi. This one in particular has an equestrian look to it, the brown tones mixed with the red are so elegant. Originally I was going to wear a red shoe but then decided to pull from the brown so I added my calf hair booties for that unexpected punch. No matter, it's still all about this scarf for me. I went from having it around my neck to tying it around my head and you are probably going to see me wearing this look at least a few times this summer as I play around with this accessory. Today I decided to wear sleek white wide-leg pants and this red and white striped off the shoulder top, another popular look this summer. Just a red belt, my purse, a little jewelry and the look is complete. Hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by. Shop today's look below:

Every time you “have nothing to wear” are your black and white pieces your go-to?! I know for me I feel like I can always depend on my all black or all white outfit’s last minute. There is something faultless and reassuring about simple black and white and todays outfit combines the two.
After purchasing my first Tanya Taylor piece last fall, I fell in love with the line. There is something very feminine and chic about her garments. I love this dress in particular not only because of the fine print, but because of the style as well. It is almost trendy and elegant at the same time with the A-line hem and the cut-out shoulders. I added my black and white contrast leather pumps and went for a little jewelry change…switching up my usual Yurman chain for my Alexis Bitter crescent necklace.
Sometimes all you need is something as small as a belt to transform an outfit. When first picking out this look I kept going back to my hot pink Louboutin pumps, but was getting pink overload. When I held up a belt I recently bought I knew it was the missing piece. Although this two-tone belt from Maje came in for the fall I love the texture it adds along with denim and burgundy tones. Happy Wednesday everyone!! We are halfway through the week…hang in there!! Today I wanted to spend some time by the pool and I figured I would get in a blog post as well seeing as how it’s been a little bit. I wanted to tell you all about a great new site http://www.shopriffraff.com all of the items are hand-picked and are a mix between southern charm and uptown chic. This is where I got this adorable sunset patchwork set!! It is so perfect for a pool or beach environment, and even to put on over your bikini. The bare shoulders cropped top and side tie shorts make you want to unwind and relax.
When the days get hot and humid but you still have to dress try taking a little breather in something like this off the shoulder easy breezy dress… the blue and white stripes are bold yet very striking. Keeping it simple I just added a navy shoe and this fun clutch from Lanvin, which gives the outfit a little twist.

It seems every time I post an outfit I’m saying “I’m obsessed’ or “I love”….well, clearly I have no problem shopping. I could buy everything I see that speaks to me (but I’d be broke) because there is plenty that speaks to me (aka everything). When I saw this Rebecca Minkoff dress and the way the shoulders drop and the beautiful blue tribal trim I knew I had to have it…thinking it would be so much fun to add this blue hat and my denim Louboutin pumps I went for it…. feeling very Southern today. I see myself wearing this dress a lot…from day time festivities to the horse track this summer!
