Pink & Oversized..two of my favorite things.
As we sneak closer into the chillier weather most of us will be mixing pieces from both our summer and fall wardrobe. From shorts and booties, jeans and short sleeve tee’s, or as in today’s case shorts and an oversized sweatshirt…the combinations are endless…so don’t put away your summer attire just yet.

I have been wearing the classic slip-on with just about everything this summer. From shorts, dresses, and maxi skirts as you saw on the blog yesterday.
On hot days like today it is easiest to wake up and throw on a mini dress. As I’m sure you know off-of-the shoulder pieces are everywhere these days and a summer must-have.
If I was to pick out all of my favorite off of the shoulder dresses this season you would be scrolling for hours. I decided to stick to similar tones and easy day-to-day styles.
When I was shooting looks the ice cream man drove by and I had this brilliant idea that I needed to get something and use it in my photos. If you are wondering why I am barely smiling…..it is because out of all of the options I chose the blue and green sour popsicle and it completely turned my mouth colors…..so safe to say I will not be doing that again. Thank god it was one of my last looks.

Lightweight sweaters are the best for chilly nights and cool mornings in the summer. The fringe hem on this knit makes it perfect for layering other pieces and also gives it a little boho twist. My two major accessories today are a chiffon necktie (which can be worn multiple ways) and a beaded tassel necklace. They add a semi vintage-inspired statement to this textured sweater. Hi Everyone!!
It's almost the weekend again, I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday. Unfortunately, I spent most of it working but that's ok, it's for the future., other than that I spent what was left with family and friends. I'm looking forward to getting back down to the shore and plans are in the making. We have been going as a family to Long Beach Island, New Jersey since I was a child. LBI is just so beautiful, relaxing and a place we can all get together and just hang out in a pair of shorts and a tee, go for a bike ride, happy hour or to the beach…I cannot wait.
Today's outfit is a combination of old and new. I have on a white tee that I paired with a blush vest and leather wrap necklace I borrowed from my mom. I love the vibe of these three pieces together…very cool yet still chic. I finally got my hands on a pair of cropped flare jeans. I found this pair at H&M. I love the raw hem (and the price makes them even better). This style pant looks great with tailored pieces and block heels for an off-duty denim style. Pure Jeanius.

With the weather finally turning nice, it looks like summer is almost here. Yesterday I went on a seven mile hike to the top of Bucks Peak in Lake George. The view was breathtaking and I was able to get in some great exercise. Some of you were inquiring about my pants, they are not available through my site but you can go to the Adidas website to find them. They are part of the Dream Awaken collection by Pharrell Williams (really cool stuff) you are only allowed to purchase two pieces at once from the line. They were running a little large for me so I would watch my sizing, I ordered an extra small and I thought they were more like a size small so depending on your own body you might want to size down. Just food for thought if you don't want to worry about exchanging and then have them be no longer available.
Today's outfit is a black silk dress from rag and bone. This is one of those outfits where that big chunky jewelry I spoke about looks so good. I was going back and forth between the necklace I have on and one very similar from J.Crew(here) but in the end that little bit of gold stood out. The topper is a Eugenia Kim boater hat...(Love her hats). There is versatility in this dress, it is one that you could wear to a fancy event by just adding a pair of heels and depending whether or not it was a daytime or evening event, would determine my accessories. Today, I am wearing it very casual with a simple pair of black sandals, but it is so easy to take it from cute and feel good to a real WOW!!! number. I was shopping online recently and found these allover pom-pom overalls. I just had to get them because they were so different and cute, especially with the fringe along the bottom. Originally I wanted to pair them with pink but when I tried on this yellow top and then added the necklace it just felt like a breath of fresh air. After trying on a few different pair of sandals, I decided to go with these simple Kate Spade slip on's, they have a bit of fray to them, so I figured what a perfect match and the stones across the top are adorable. This is one of my favorite looks so far for the season. Simple, casual and cute…can't go wrong. I've also been doing some thinking about the things I wear and I've decided that I want to invest a little more in accessories to punch up my outfits. Where I would usually wear my David Yurman, I have started adding chunkier fun pieces of jewelry, purchasing a few new scarves and belts, plus I am just loving boater hats. Let's see where the summer takes me style wise, change is good and I want to try some new things. Let me know if you have any ideas or if there is anything in particular you would like to see. Hello everyone,
The weather here is finally nice so I'm full on with the spring and summer looks. After hosting an evening at the Rebecca Minkoff store in Soho, which I thought went very well and it was so nice meeting everyone, I received a box with all kinds of goodies from their PR people. The necklace and iPhone purse in this picture are two of those items. I decided to wrap the purse around my waist like a fanny pack which I think looks adorable. They come in several colors and I had been looking at them for a while so it was pretty exciting when I got it as a gift. Every time an opportunity comes my way to do something with my blog I become more and more addicted to it, it's so much fun and I am so grateful for the chance to do what I love. Thank you Rebecca and staff for your interest in me and thank you to all of my followers for taking the time out of your day to support me…it would not be possible without each and every one of you. Today's outfit is just a simple sleeveless top and a pair of shorts which have a skirt feel to them but when I add this fun necklace and the purse it just changes the whole look to eye popping cuteness. I'm loving it, and you will find you can do the same with any of your own outfits by just adding a little creativity with things you have in your closet. To keep this outfit from running on pink overload I decided to pair it with a blue denim pump to give it a little balance. Shop below:

Today’s shirtdress is one of my recent favorites…mostly because of how feminine it is. The tiered ruffle hem is dainty and chic and looks absolutely adorable when you put a little pep in your step.
My accessories add pops of pink throughout this look. This hand-beaded scarf necklace is one I have admired since I first saw it at Intermix over the summer. And then…a few weeks ago I was getting my hair done at Brush NYC and got talking to the lady next to me about these amazing earrings she had. It ended up being Mignonne Gavigan, the designer of the line. She invited me to her showroom and I came home with some stunning pieces, which you can expect to see this week. While in the showroom, I also got to preview the Spring/Summer 16 pieces and I CANNOT wait…especially for one piece in particular. I will provide more information throughout the week. With summer coming to end, there are some really great deals out there. Starting with Intermix, now 50% off sale, check it out. I was able to get these great sandals for only $64.00. I found this J.O.A. Varsity mesh sweater at Urban Outfitters and these adorable print trousers were from Zara. Putting this outfit together was so easy...I just added a tank from Banana Republic and jewelry by Chan Luu and Alexis Bittar. Hair up in a pony and my new monster bag for a touch of fun. I found this outfit to be perfect for a day when I'm running errands. Casual, fun and comfortable...unfortunately these items are already gone but I have found similar items I have listed below to make it easy. I also thought you might like a couple recommendations which are favorites of mine just in case you might be thinking of a warm weather get away as the seasons begin to change. I have had this mini skirt from A.L.C. for so long now and could never seem to pair it with the right top/shoes. The top part of the skirt is actually a gray sweatshirt material and then finished off with chic white pleats at the bottom. After purchasing this muscle tank by Alexander Wang (also sweatshirt material) I wanted to try it on “just to see what it would look like” with the skirt and I ended up loving the combo. It is sporty yet still girly. For shoes I went with a pair of white slip-on hightops from Zara.
For those who are wondering about this super cool necklace…it was a present from Ellie Vail Jewelry (www.ellievail.com) I am so obsessed with it and have been wearing it nonstop. When I had on this outfit I knew this had to be the necklace for it. The heartbeat rhythm reminded me of the black graphic tee I wanted oh sooo bad from Alexander Wang with the red heartbeat circling it from front to back.
And last but not least…today let me formally introduce you to KARLITO!! I just love him. He was an early birthday gift from my mother (you da bomb Gail). I added him to my mustard color Givenchy bag for a pop of color and fun. Shop similar below.
Summer is a time for fun in the sun, light breezy clothes, sandals, and flip-flops. Today I am wearing a light weight white cotton dress from J.Crew. Changing it up a bit I replaced the simple string belt with this black leather one to pick up the black in my shoes and bag. How ironic is it that these shoes are Nanette Lepore and while shopping around I happened to find this clutch from Milly which is an exact match. I added a couple of fun necklaces and now this simple little white dress reaches another level as it now becomes very chic….

Hi everyone, hope your day is going well…just arrived in the city and putting up a quick post before running around. These 'Bermuda like' shorts are a perfect length to pair with pumps for me since I am not a real fan of short shorts with high heels. They are casual yet chic with the gold tuxedo stripe and super comfortable. Most of what I am wearing today is from J.Crew and I added my Reed Krakoff bag because it pulls the calf hair belt and all of the neutrals together.

Street meets luxury in this tasteful knit maxi dress from the line T by Alexander Wang. The collection is centered more around ‘tee-shirt dressing’, which offers a variety of styling options. I love that this dress is not skin tight, but more stretched out. When going about styling the chunky knit, I went with an urban-chic vibe. I added my new Antonello foldover clutch, which adds a unique touch with its handwoven fabric. I am so in LOVE with it!! The patterns between the clutch and the pumps look really cool together…and speaking of cool!! I finished the look with a black leather bomber jacket, safety chain choker, and long Chan Luu necklace.

Springing fashionably forward today with Current Elliot, Rag & Bone, and Joie. I recently stopped into Circles, a local boutique and spied this outfit on the mannequin, and knew right away I had to have it…found out one of my favorite girls styled it…Kudos Alex!! They pulled the entire outfit for me, I tried it on, and then added this floppy brim fedora. I am in love with the fit of these cropped pants especially since I have a very difficult time finding pants that fit me well. The tee I am sporting actually is a muscle tank with an open back…going to be so cool for the summer. The Current Elliot denim jacket is oversized and boxy and I imagine I will be pairing this with a lot. Easiest outfit I have ever purchased!!

Distressed denim, a blouse, and a sweater make up todays daytime look. I love the way the yellow really makes the calf-hair flats pop. As I have mentioned… I am just easing myself into wearing gold jewelry since I usually gravitate more towards silver pieces. It just so happens that gold accents have worked themselves in, all throughout today’s outfit. From the gold hardware on the handbag and leather jacket, to the delicate necklace finished off with a gold horn pendant and edgy gold zippers on my calf-hair flats, I am slowly but surely giving gold a go.

There is nothing more chic than black and white…the combination is timeless and looks good on everyone. Todays outfit combines an Alice and Olivia long satin-trim vest over a 'borrowed from the boys' looking tunic. I love how the blouse just shows enough of the flounce hem on the skirt to add a touch of flirtiness.
