Get Graphic

Starting my Monday in this cowgirl/prairie like/floral patchwork tee from Coach. I literally could not decide on which one I wanted because they are all so adorable. The bold colors are the perfect statement for summer. I went with the white because I wanted to focus on the vibrant reds, and also because I wanted to pair my red Toga boots detailed with western buckles…I thought they were a perfect match for this look. This tee is also available in grey and also in an irresistibly soft sweatshirt.

I have on white shorts from Alice & Olivia today, but I also love the idea of red shorts (maybe with a different color shoe). For shorts on the dressier side and the perfect wide-leg trousers, Alice & Olivia is always my go to. I am mentioning the trousers because I think they would look really cool as well however, I would do a heel or wedge instead of a bootie. The other tee’s I was debating over are screen-printed with different ‘landscapes’ and are super unique. What I love most about today’s post is that all items/ similar items linked below can be mixed and matched with each other and also with several other colors.  I hope you enjoy. Have a wonderful week everyone!

'Mona Lisa'

My latest reasoning/excuse as to why I need to buy something these days is that… “I have this gut feeling it is going to sell out” (we all know that is the absolute WORST) and sometimes you just can’t take that risk!!

That was the case with both these Chloe wedges and Mona Lisa graphic tee. I was seeing these shoes all over…and I pulled one of those “no I’ll wait”…but in reality what are we ever waiting for?! It was not until I went to finally try them on at Saks and every color was sold out in my size that I realized I had to have them.  Luckily I found them online in the olive color that I have been loving (phewww) As for the top…I went back and forth for awhile wondering if I wanted to spend the money on a graphic tee and finally just went for the splurge because I thought it was too cool to pass up.

I decided to pair both with these destroyed white denim shorts. I love white denim in the spring and summer because there is something so refreshing about it. I added this canvas pouch because the fabric and tassels mesh well with the print on the front of the tee. Today’s accessories are available in many other colors and styles. I hope you find them as cool as I do. Thanks for stopping by today!! You can shop this look below:

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

I do not know about you, but I definitely have found love in this graphic oversized tee designed by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.  What really interests me is that Tisci gets a majority of his inspiration from the streets and the diverse culture of America. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology….I spent four years studying different ideologies of society and the deeper meanings behind both human relationships and institutions.  I thought of sociology after I watched a brief video I found on the internet (that you can watch here) Tisci takes his personal thoughts and experiences and dives into his creative work. You may see repetitive symbols such as stars, Bambi, basketball, rottweiler’s, and even sayings such as the one on today’s tee “I Feel Love”…and they all hold meanings.

It only makes sense that I went with a very distressed and streetstyle look with denim, black booties, and a black leather choker. These Fendi bug Chelsea boots are my latest shoe purchase and I just am TOO obsessed!! Anyway…you can get this look and similar by shopping below:

Leather & Lace

Before going to the Bahamas in May I had originally bought the Stuart Weitzman gladiator sandals with the side zipper and elastic straps in the back… however, I ended up returning them because the straps didn’t fit my leg properly (a constant shoe struggle of mine). On my last visit to the city I found the “Backview Sandal” (photographed above) and they are the perfect addition to my wardrobe. Not only do they fit better with the adjustable straps, they are a chic cross between a boot and the popular gladiator sandal. They give a funky and more rebellious look to any outfit. The cutouts make a simple black dress like this Alice & Olivia one look fierce, and I love the combination of the bold leather with the dainty lace. I layered a few of my favorite Chan Luu necklaces with my crescent shaped Alexis Bittar because in this case…more is more.

Live Colorfully

Skirt:Alice & Olivia| Graphic Tee:Kate Spade (older, also love this one)

Good afternoon everyone and happy Tuesday,
Well I had a photo shoot yesterday and it was so windy it was ridiculous but all in all I got some really cute pics. I couldn’t decide which ones to post!! Feeling very Sarah Jessica Parker today in this Alice and Olivia skirt and we had so much fun shooting it. The wind was blowing it all over the place and all we did was laugh… got a lot of quirky shots but I think it gives them character. I had this Kate Spade live colorfully shirt and I love pairing graphic tees with skirts so I thought this one would be fun...(side note: Kate Spade has the best graphic tee’s) I very often will wear boots in the summer and my pink Christian Louboutin’s worked really well with this outfit also. Just adorable… I loved wearing it so much I didn’t want to take it off.  To the new friends I met yesterday…I hope you enjoy my closet and thank you for following along!!

Nautical-Prep

You may recognize this dress from a recent post, however today it is taking an entire180. The striped dress I had paired with fringe rain boots and knee socks, I am now wearing with a deep V-neck sweater and patent leather pumps. The extra-long white knit just screams spring!! There is something very nautical and preppy about the stripes against the white and that is what inspired todays look. Both pieces can easily be styled on the more casual side, however I went with a pair of pumps instead of a white sneaker for a more elegant look.
