rue Saint-André des Arts

Hi everyone!!!

I am so excited to be back on the blog today with a new outfit and even more excited for the weekend! Today’s look is one that can take you from day into night. As I am sure you have realized by now the bomber has taken over the fashion world, and it doesn’t look like it is going anywhere very soon. As the temperature begins to drop…coats, jackets, and layering pieces become non-negotiable, and the bomber is the perfect off-duty/cool piece for those on the go.

The bird embroidery and gathered effect on today’s jacket makes it a must-have piece in my opinion. Underneath I layered a cotton tee with lettering graphic “rue Saint-André des Arts” and a ribbed-knit midi skirt for a trendy, yet casual look. If you are looking for something a littler on the warmer side, check out the matching sweater or similar sweatshirt linked below.

Does anyone have any fun plans this weekend? My best friend will be home Friday and I can’t wait to go out, have fun, and just laugh. You know those times…when you are laughing so hard, feel like your gaining a 6-pack, and have tears coming out of your eyes? Those always make the best memories. Have an amazing day everyone!! Friday will be here soon enough.

XOXO,

NOM

Elevated Essentials

While I'm not feeling the greatest these last few days suffering with allergies that almost always turn into sinus problems, I'm forcing myself to keep on trucking. A little slower but non the less. I have been wanting a pair of these Stella McCartney shoes for a while now and usually by the time I'm ready to pull the trigger they are already sold out. This time I was all over them and I'm obsessed with them. They run about a half size big so beware if you should decide to get them. There are so many ways I want to wear them, I think they look good with just about everything. Today I paired them with these white jeans and a striped tee and then added a belt to pull the color from the shoes. I love to mix color and pattern to add that little spark to an outfit.

While not looking forward to fall, I wanted to start giving you all a little insight to what I have been seeing. I will be updating you from time to time now about what is popular for the upcoming season. I am seeing a lot of velvet, jacquard and leather, patchwork, large floral prints and right up my alley, Sooo many ruffles. The shoes are gorgeous... and everything is so rich looking. I feel like we are headed back to a time of ladylike elegance. Some of my favorite things this year are the Gucci kangaroo jacquard loafers, wide belts and I am loving the hand held bags of yesteryear. They started showing up this summer and are on my list for fall. I have started my pre-fall additions so be sure to check them out.

Spring Fever

Skirt:Maje|Top:J.Crew|Jacket:Theory(older)|Pumps:Christian Louboutin

I have been having serious spring fever. I am over the cold and SO over my winter clothes!! I have been trying to incorporate more color into my outfits along with some lighter weight pieces. This midi skirt from Maje for instance has a neoprene-like finish and all-over print…you could do a lot with this. Today I decided to go with one of my favorite and classic layering pieces…a sleeveless shell (also see the matching cardigan) they always seem to work with just about anything. The sunset pink color adds a fun touch to the green and blue print. This look is still shoppable. See Below:

Skirt:Alice&Olivia|Coat:Maje|Boots:Joie (sold out)|Clutch:Edie Parker

Yesterday I got lucky enough to shoot a bunch of great new looks before the cold weather struck again (hence today’s mini skirt). A floral print helps to brighten up our current stuck in winter minds…so why not. I paired this mini with a classic black turtleneck and oversized blue wool-blend coat. It has a wrap-like silhouette and belt, which cinches in the waist for a cozy feel.

A cheerful Edie Parker Yes clutch also brings a more springy vibe to this look. This one is no longer available, but I picked out a few other favorites of mine below. I am a little late to the game with my knee-high boots, but I got the best deal on this pair, which I am obsessed with…so you can expect to see them a lot in the next week (oops!!) This look is shoppable below. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Well Red

If you have been following my blog and Instagram account then you know about these awesome over-the-knee boots. For those of you who are new- first of all welcome!! And second, these are from the Minnetonka X Maje collaboration.  Boots can be so expensive…so it’s awesome when you find a pair that are so reasonably priced.

The fringe on the back give the modern boots such a boho feel, so it only made sense to pair them with a flowy dress. The one I have on today is by Christoph Sauvat. The red printed dress is detailed with button closures, self-tie tassels, and beads.

Right now, most of the sizes in every color of the boots are sold out, but the good news is you can sign up to receive an email when they are back in stock. I went through and picked out some of my favorite similar style dresses that can also be paired with these boots. Shop Below & enjoy!

Hey everyone!! I'm a little late on today's post…but this is an outfit I wore a few weeks ago during NYFW. Originally I paired this with a deep v-neck sweater, but since we are all in fall mode now... today I decided to go with a navy turtleneck. This skirt is from Maje, and sold out  fast (which is happening so much lately). To accessorize this look I added a two-tone fabric belt (also from Maje) a navy leather jacket over my shoulders, and my fav Fendi monster bag!! Shop similar styles below and enjoy your weekend!!

Ready to Romp

Sometimes all you need is something as small as a belt to transform an outfit. When first picking out this look I kept going back to my hot pink Louboutin pumps, but was getting pink overload. When I held up a belt I recently bought I knew it was the missing piece. Although this two-tone belt from Maje came in for the fall I love the texture it adds along with denim and burgundy tones.
