Go Gingham

Go Gingham this summer! The checkered print is as classic as stripes or polka dots.

Sassy Stripes

Stripes never really go out of style…horizontal, vertical, nautical, colorful, every which way…

Girls

Happy Monday!!

I hope everyone is doing amazing! As the summer comes to a close I find myself questioning weather or not to invest in certain items. It is time to start thinking about our cooler-weather wardrobe , but sometimes it is just TOO hard to pass up on certain pieces (hint: today’s tank!!!)

I feel like it has been forever since I have put a new outfit post up on the blog, but I couldn’t be more excited to share how this ‘girls’ knit top purchase can be justified and worn right into the fall and winter.

When it comes to autumn dressing…layers are key…so what makes a tank top any different? For this one in particular, I would add either a black bodysuit underneath, a snug fitting turtleneck or long-sleeve top.

Today, I have it paired with vintage inspired jeans with white eyelet details, and pink patent pumps for an unexpected GIRLy pop. A pink and brown suede bag mixed with silver and black jewelry acts as a perfect combo between street and chic. Shop today’s look below:

Flaring is Caring

We have seen flare jeans make a huge comeback, so what is going to be next on the list? Personally, I am 100% feeling bell sleeves… head-turning and wearable.

When I found this top online, I purchased it right away. The sleeves bring a hint of drama and a fresh look to an all black and white outfit with contrast trim accents and large ruffles. The off of the shoulder neckline and wide leg black trousers add a sexy edge to this polished look. I think is it important not to go over-board with a piece like this. Below, find this look and similar bell sleeve tops. Thanks for stopping by today!!

Happy humpday everyone,

The sun is shining and we are in for another great day today, so I thought I would wear these shorts from last year with a great top from intermix that I fell in love with. (It is another item on sale right now). So Crisp and clean looking, yet the ruffles add a little flirty fun and paired with the polka dot in the shorts with the scalloped edge, what's left to say? I wanted to add a little sophistication so I decided on heels rather than a flat sandal to pump up my look. While they do not have this particular pattern this year, they are still available in a wide variety of colors. Just a bit of cuteness when you want shorts but also want to dress your outfit up a little. The fabric is great and so is the fit. Check out the links below, thanks for stopping by and have the best day...

Rock and Roll Gal

_AM20468.jpg

Serious Rock&Roll vibes this Friday….I mean why not IT IS the weekend!! Black and white stripes, a knotted tee, fedora, a skinny scarf with lips and paisley print, and of course statement sunnies=all of your rock fashion trends (minus the mohawk and ripped denim vest) combined into 1 chic outfit.

Remember that sale at Intermix I mentioned last week? That’s where I found this pair of striped Rag&Bone jeans for under $100…it seems as though they are sold out now so I linked a few other sites below (also pretty low in stock too) I have been obsessing over skinny scarves lately especially all of the ones from Rockins. You can wear them a ton of different ways and they add that free-spirited edge to your outfit. Shop this look below. Enjoy your weekend everyone!!!

One and Done

Three words: One And Done.

The go to one piece is style simplified…no mixing or matching necessary. Slip into a striking jumpsuit then step out. My favorite part about wearing any style onsie is that it makes getting ready so much easier. You never have to run around searching for the perfect top or bottom. You pick out your shoes, add some jewls, and bam! You are done. You can grab your bag and out the door you go.

The romper I have on today is by Alexis. The entire line is so stunning. It has a lot going on in all the right ways as it comprises both ruffles and lace (my favorite.) Since it is a little on the dressier side I based my picks below on pieces that make a statement. I hope you enjoy. Thanks for stopping by!!

The best part about the piece? It is fun and easy to wear. You can literally do anything you want with it. From neon colors to prints and patterns...the LWD can handle it all.

This lace up shift dress by JOA is detailed with a front tie closure and front patch pockets. I decided to add a little bit of both black and leopard throughout with my accessories. Shop the look below:

Happy Monday Everyone!!

Today I decided to share one of my favorite skirts!! It is a little older now but I am still as in love with it as I was the day I bought it. I love mini skirts…especially ruffled and layered ones for spring and summer. They are stylish, youthful, and have so many styling options.

This one from Alice & Olivia I actually wore on my 22nd birthday. Black floral appliqués dress up the scalloped tiers of the party-ready skirt. It may remind you a little bit of an older post I did Heart of Gold (another favorite of mine).

This skirt is  unfortunately no longer available, but I went ahead and picked out a few other adorable tiered skirts for the season. I hope you enjoy! Thanks for stopping by!

If you follow me on Snapchat (laurrecc) then you may have seen me wearing this dress in Aruba trying to get “the shot”….I ended up not getting the best ‘shot’ of my outfit (I blame it on you Catherine!!!)  JK. Anyway, this dress is one of my favorites so I had to make sure I posted it on the blog.

I love the embroidered stars throughout and the ruffled detail at the bottom. Lately I have been so drawn to ruffles and pleats for the spring and summer. They are so feminine and fun. This dress is also available with long sleeves, as a shirt, or in navy and gold.  You can shop my look below. Thank you for stopping by today!!

Mariposa Midi

Today’s look reminds me of the salsa dancer emoji (in a good way). It is ruched to perfection and the red floral print is TOO good for spring!! This dress can be easily taken day to night with a change of shoes.

If you have been following along on Instagram then you have seen my newest choker obsession by Chan Luu. I love it so much!! It is simple, yet so sophisticated, and I love that it can still look great layered with other pieces.

Today’s items are a little pricey…so I also picked out some great alternatives. You can shop this look below. Thank you for stopping by!!

Today's look is all about layering neutral pieces for a luxe look. Layering different textures of clothing is fun and chic. It allows you to wear your clothing more and more and can bring a whole new vibe to your look. Today I added sheer hosiery and a felt fedora to my favorite suede shorts and oversized faux fur vest…making this outfit very wearable for the current weather. Shop this look below:

Hi Everyone!!

Back on the blog today, I guess we should consider ourselves pretty lucky considering it's just now gotten to the point of freezing out and it's the end of January. Winter is passing quickly and I'm already planning my get away to warmer weather. Looks like maybe sometime in March so I have been shopping lately for those swim suits and warmer weather clothing which has started appearing in stores and on line.

In the meantime today I'm all black and white, wearing leggings a turtleneck, my Stuart Weitzman boots and this black and white grid coat from BB Dakota, which is lighter weight and will carry me well into the spring. I fell in love with this black cap from Stella McCartney and I just want to wear it all the time. It is just so chic.

I want to thank everyone for following along with me, I hope you are enjoying my looks and finding inspiration. If there is anything you would like to see or if you have any suggestions, I welcome your feedback.

Red to Toe

Hi Everyone!!

I love the color red this time of year. It is so stunning.

Last week I received this beautiful custom made coat all the way from Dubai. This floor-length coat is a statement piece for sure. I cannot thank the designer Katya Kovtunovich enough. She is taking the world by storm with her modern interpretation on Arabic fabrics by creating clothes that appeal to women worldwide.

I paired an all black look underneath for a chic, yet simple look as this coat does all of the talking. A matching beret and jeweled belt add the finishing touches. Keep an eye out for this designer as she has royal and celebrity admirers including Lady Gaga.

Birds On A Wire

Hey guys!! I am off to a late start today…oops (just one of those days!!)

I am rocking another one of my favorite midi skirts today, which also can be perfect for the holidays and holiday parties. This one is printed with stripes and birds and has such a delightful charm to it. I put on a striped top, pair of stylish shearing earmuffs, leather gloves, and lace-up leather pumps for a glam/chic look with warmth and style. You can shop this look and similar below:

Riveted

Good morning and happy hump day everyone!!

The weather has been so hot and cold lately…literally. I am soo not ready to take out all of my heavy winter coats, but this knit fall outfit makes the transitioning just a little easier. I decided to pair these metal detailed leggings with the matching zip-up cardigan for a retro/chic look. Some people may gravitate to the skirt instead, which is also listed below.

When I first saw these Miu Miu booties in the store…it was love at first sight. Patent leather shoes are so chic and these belt-like fastenings are just beyond. Not to mention…the pointy-toe and chunky heel reflect the themes of the FW15 runway show. They are not available online, but I have picked out some similar favorites.

Thanks for stopping by today!! XOXO

Red Accents

Sweatshirt:H&M|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Boots:Toga Pulla|Scarf:Vintage Celine|Hat:Older

Dino Petrocelli Photography

You don’t need a whole new wardrobe to spice up your look…sometimes all you need are the right accessories. Even the most boring outfits can be transformed with the help of a few key pieces. Today I have on jeans and a plain black sweatshirt (boring right?!) but the outfit is given character by red accents and a mod inspired driving cap.

Around my neck is a Celine printed silk scarf I ordered off of the vintage boutique on Farfetch. There are some really awesome pieces on there for great prices.  The red design just happens to match my new Toga Pulla boots….which I immediately became obsessed with as soon as I saw. I think the western style silver buckles on the side are just the coolest and the scarf adds a perfect refined touch.

If you are searching for a plain sweatshirt, I recommend this one from H&M. It is a great price and also comes in light pink and gray. Below, shop this look and my scarf picks (both vintage & new) I hope everyone has an amazing weekend. XOXO
