I Feel Love

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

I do not know about you, but I definitely have found love in this graphic oversized tee designed by Givenchy’s creative director Riccardo Tisci.  What really interests me is that Tisci gets a majority of his inspiration from the streets and the diverse culture of America. As a graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology….I spent four years studying different ideologies of society and the deeper meanings behind both human relationships and institutions.  I thought of sociology after I watched a brief video I found on the internet (that you can watch here) Tisci takes his personal thoughts and experiences and dives into his creative work. You may see repetitive symbols such as stars, Bambi, basketball, rottweiler’s, and even sayings such as the one on today’s tee “I Feel Love”…and they all hold meanings.

It only makes sense that I went with a very distressed and streetstyle look with denim, black booties, and a black leather choker. These Fendi bug Chelsea boots are my latest shoe purchase and I just am TOO obsessed!! Anyway…you can get this look and similar by shopping below:

Thanks for stopping by today!!

Checked In

I have officially checked out of New York Fashion Week and checked into my new shawl-like coat that I do not plan on taking off anytime soon. The earth tone colored plaid is neutral therefore very wearable and the belt at the waist is removable also giving this coat some versatility. I decided to pair it with a black wool skirt (which is now on sale) and my over-the-knee boots. You can shop this look and similar below.

Faux Fur

Edun Coat| Barbara Bui Booties (shop similar below)

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased this faux fur coat from Edun and what a great purchase it was. The coat retailed for $2,000 and I was lucky enough to nab it for a mere $399. What a steal and boy is it warm on these cold and windy days. It is one you can wear for an evening of dress or just throw it on with a pair of jeans, which is what I did today.  It has become my new go to for outdoor wear and I love how it looks paired with these calf hair booties. So versatile!!! It is still available, but low in stock if you are interested!! Check it out and shop below:

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day. XOXO

Today’s sweater is also one of my holiday picks. It is impossible for this not to make you feel so happy!! The arms are covered with rhinestone-studded appliqués, which include hearts, cameras, glasses of wine, lips, and pizza! Too good!! It is one of my pick’s because it is too playful not to love. It can be paired with a skirt or trousers, but today I went with jeans for a very casual look. I wore my gold booties because they add to the fun of the look.

Below shop this look and similar sweaters, which include a few different appliqués on them.

Wrap Vest

Happy wrap-vest Wednesday!!

Vests offer a cozy and warm layering look for fall and winter. This wool one by Joie has a contrast black and striped border that can be fastened closed with a thin leather belt. Vests always look great with jeans or leggings, and a pair of boots. Today I went with a legging-like pant from J.Crew, and over-the-knee boots. I added a black felt fedora to complete this fall look. Below, you can shop this look and other stylish options:

Easily Suede

I wore this outfit a couple of weeks ago to the preview of the Rag and Bone capsule collection for Intermix. The Pope was in town (AKA lot’s of traffic) and as I was rushing out the door to catch my Uber my sister snapped a few quick photos for me. I previously posed one on Instagram, but didn’t think it did the trick of showing off the outfit…so here we are!

One of the hottest trends right now is suede, and there is just soo much you can do with it. Whether it be layering it up (suede on suede), adding suede shoes, or if you are a festival girl…the obvious fringe and tassels! Think chic nude, tan, burnt orange, mustard, and even burgundy. I decided to pair a lace blouse with my brown suede shorts, and then added my new favorite patchwork suede ankle boots, which tie in all of the perfect colors for fall. Below, shop similar alternatives. Thanks for stopping by. XOXO

Pleated Poise

Top:T by Alexander Wang(sold out)|Skirt: Derek Lam 10 Crosby(sold out)|Sneakers:Zara

I have had this mini skirt from A.L.C. for so long now and could never seem to pair it with the right top/shoes. The top part of the skirt is actually a gray sweatshirt material and then finished off with chic white pleats at the bottom. After purchasing this muscle tank by Alexander Wang (also sweatshirt material) I wanted to try it on “just to see what it would look like” with the skirt and I ended up loving the combo. It is sporty yet still girly. For shoes I went with a pair of white slip-on hightops from Zara.

For those who are wondering about this super cool necklace…it was a present from Ellie Vail Jewelry (www.ellievail.com) I am so obsessed with it and have been wearing it nonstop. When I had on this outfit I knew this had to be the necklace for it. The heartbeat rhythm reminded me of the black graphic tee I wanted oh sooo bad from Alexander Wang with the red heartbeat circling it from front to back.

And last but not least…today let me formally introduce you to KARLITO!! I just love him. He was an early birthday gift from my mother (you da bomb Gail). I added him to my mustard color Givenchy bag for a pop of color and fun.  Shop similar below.

Short Days, Long Nights

Tee:Zara|Jacket:Zara|Jeans:Joe's Jeans|Pumps:Christian Louboutin

First and foremost I would like to say Thank you to Megan for this beautiful ring!! I just love it and they have the cutest things at www.mosettejewelry.com Check them out!! I was in NY last week and I picked up a few things at Zara including this great graphic tee and the sweetest little jacket, which I’m sure will get a lot of use. This type of jacket can be worn with so many things…dress it up or down, it can be worn on a casual day with jeans or shorts or you can pair it with a skirt or over a dress. I love everything about it…the fabric and the pattern with the little bit of fringe around the edge just calls my name. Today I chose to wear it with a pair of white jeans and my denim Louboutin’s, which when I purchased I wasn’t sure I would get a lot of use out of them but they are quickly becoming a go to, they seem to match everything…so easy to wear.

J.Crew Skirt/ Sandro Paris Topcoat/ Givenchy bag

It  is still so cold out here in the North East but I wanted to wear a skirt or something a little different than jeans so I paired this loop fringe skirt from J.Crew with a simple white oxford shirt and a sweater together with black tights and my Stuart over the knee boots.  When an outfit is looking a little to bland I throw in a little pop of color and it always seems to  work.  I am such a neutral girl but that extra something especially, in this dreary weather gives a lift to an outfit. Cannot wait until it starts to warm up around here, it has been an incredibly cold winter.

Hat: Genie by Eugenia Kim/ J.Crew Blouse, Coat, Sweater, Pants/Boots: Stuart Weitzman /Bag: Givenchy

During cold winter months it can be so hard sometimes to bundle up to stay warm, yet still look fashionable. Winter accessories can easily look overwhelming, so I think it is important to invest in the right kind, even though they may be pricey. For example,  today I am wearing a long down puffer coat that is designed to insulate heat and manages not to look like a human sleeping bag. I paired it with leggings, and a cashmere sweater that is a good investment for layering, looking stylish, and staying warm. You lose the most heat through your head so it is definitely important to find a cute hat. I love this tweed Eugenia Kim hat that is perfect for both city streets and rural roads.
