Another week means more outfits!!

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend and that all of the moms out there had a great mother’s day.

I find them to be professional for the work environment, yet they are also timeless and flattering for spring and summer events.  I love tailored pieces like these because they have various styling options when worn as separates. Monday got me….

Not Even Caring.

I have been finding some really amazing patchwork pieces online recently, especially in denim. Some splurge worthy and others so inexpensive…either way both end up being TOO GOOD to pass up.

Today’s jeans have a vintage look to them, but the plaid patch adds a preppy feel. I love pairing white button-ups under sweaters and sweatshirts so it worked out perfectly! When it came to shoes…I was debating between Adidas sneakers and my gold boots. Although both would work, I love how the gold looks mixed with the yellow in the plaid. I went ahead and picked out some other really cool patchwork jeans and graphic tee’s and sweatshirts. Shop below! And enjoy your week!

Stripes for spring!!  These modern striped pants from Ann Taylor are not exactly bold, but more elegant and chic. They almost have that ‘borrowed from the boys’ look yet remain on the feminine side paired with a coral sweater. Not only am I loving this color for spring, but this knit is such a great mix and match piece. This conservative style is given a little more ‘life’ with a conversational large pouch…Me+MyBag=The Perfect Couple!!

Black and white is such a timeless look...today I paired this bouclé vest with a a classic button down and over-the-knee socks. The jeweled details on the collar add a polished pop and the shearling on these moto boots is a great match for the fabric of the vest. The leather buckle accents give this school girl vibe an edgy look.

This classic houndstooth blazer is sharp and sleek and finished off with a beaded collar. Layered underneath the sweater is a  printed scarf adapted from mens ties for a statement…making this outfit very menswear-chic. For a dressier look, I wore these black coated jeans.

Don't pack away the mini skirts yet…it's all about layering!! Every girl needs to have staples in their wardrobe that are perfect for layering in all seasons (A white blouse, a chambray shirt, the perfect LBD). You can transition an outfit like this a little later by simply adding a pair of tights. I love the look of the chambray shirt under this elephant sweatshirt I needed to have!! and who doesn't love a good cause?! 100% of the net proceeds of this sweatshirt go to rescuing and protecting orphaned elephants.
